Scott and I will be taking some well deserved time off at our home in Truro Massachusetts. It's an beautiful 1820 home in the Cape Cod National Seashore Park, 8 miles to Provincetown. You can stay there too! www.trurovacation.com

Friday May 2, Friday June 6, Friday July 4, Friday August 1:Gallery Walk 5:30 to 8:30PM A festive First Friday stroll in downtown Brattleboro. Dozens of galleries open, great restaurants. www.gallerywalk.org

Saturday May 17, Saturday August 23: Spring Potluck Dinner at Frog Meadow Farm and August Swim Party: Join us for another one (or two) of our super-fun pot luck dinners. If the weather's we'll fire up the BBQ! Arrive any time after 5:00 with dinner served at 7:00. Since Frog meadow does not have a license to serve alcohol this will be a BYOB event. At the August event, (weather permitting) we will have swimming in the pond!, no suit required! Please bring a dish of your choice, preferably made by you and not prepared supermarket food. Bring enough to serve about six people.

We will once again be renting rooms in the barn "dorm style". There are three queen beds in the Barn Suite that will rent for $85/bed for one or two. All accommodations include a full breakfast. There will be a two night minimum for the August 23 BBQ and swim party.

Friday and Saturday June 6 & 7: 7th Annual Strolling of the Heifers Parade & Festival A campy, 3-day festival celebrating Vermont's agricultural heritage, includes 100 flower-bedecked bovine beauties ambling up Brattleboro's Main Street, a Heifer Ball and so much more! www.strollingoftheheifers.org

Thursday to Sunday June 19-22: Closed for a Wedding Scott's neice Ali is getting married!

Thursday July 3: Vermont Symphony Orchestra at nearby Grafton Ponds, Grafton VT July 4 weekend concert. Pack a picnice and enjoy the fabulous fireworks! www.brattleboromuseum.org/calendar/vso/

Saturday July 12 to Sunday August 10: Marlboro Music Festival, Marlboro VT A retreat for advanced classical training and musicianship held for seven weeks each summer in nearby Marlboro, VT. Public performances are held each weekend. www.marlboromusic.org

Saturday and Sunday July 19 & 20: Rock River Artists Open Studio Tour: Newfane, VT: A self-guided tour of over a dozen local Newfane artists' studios. www.rockriverartists.com

Saturday July 26: Barbeque Fundraiser Picnic & Lawn Party to benefit Aids Project of Southern VT: Join us for a fun afternoon of BBQ croquet and Bocci while helping out our good friends at the Aids Project of Southern Vermont


All Spring and Summer: What's happening in the Gardens at Frog Meadow:
Late April, early May: Hundreds of daffodils, tulips and apple blossoms
May and June: Asparagus abounds, annuals are planted, Mass plantings of irises and peonies are in bloom.
Late June, early July: Strawberries are at their peak.
Mid-July. Hollyhocks!, Day Lillies
August: Hydrangeas, Asters, Blueberries
